In the mid-1950s Kim Dawson returned to her native Texas after a career modeling for top designers in New York and Paris. She saw an opportunity to be a pioneer in the emerging fashion industry of Dallas by opening the city’s first modeling agency in 1959. Today her eponymous agency is at the center of what has evolved into one of the country’s major regional fashion markets.

Kim Dawson Agency has consistently discovered and managed the careers of top models such as Erin Wasson, Chandra North and Bridget Hall and launched the careers of entertainers such as Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Chase Crawford. Now owned by daughter Lisa Dawson, the agency continues Kim’s legacy of integrity, inclusivity and excellence.
